Microsoft says no to blu-ray for the Xbox and a Zune phone
Still bitter over the HD war Microsoft has said that they have no plans to offer Blu-ray for the Xbox 360. An HD DVD peripheral device was offered for the Xbox 360 but Microsoft has refused to produce a Blu-ray version anytime soon. It may have something to do with Sony being their main competitor in the gaming industry, now it’s just another reason to buy a Playstation 3 over an Xbox 360.
Microsoft has also denied rumors of a Zune phone. The Zune has a lot of promise and I think it would make a great phone; Microsoft may be playing it safe after the failure of the Zune to steal any of the iPod’s market share however.
