Microsoft threatened by Apple in SEC filing

microsoft

Microsoft acknowledged the success of their competitor Apple during their mandatory 10-Q filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission. As stated in their filing:

A competing vertically-integrated model, in which a single firm controls both the software and hardware elements of a product, has been successful with certain consumer products such as personal computers, mobile phones and digital music players

Could they be referring to Apples hugely successful iPod, iPhone and Macs? Microsoft has their Zune and Xbox 360, but with its mixed success they’re claiming these products have reduced profits and increases cost. Time to stop crying and improve your products Microsoft!
