User-generated games for sale on Xbox Live

Microsoft has said it will soon offer the chance for online video game developers to offer their own games on Xbox Live. These games will be sold on their Xbox Live service and let developers keep 70 percent of the revenue made from these games. The concept is similar to Apple’s App Store where developers can sell their apps online. Video game developers will have to be part of the XNA Creator’s Club and pay $99 a year. This includes space in the Xbox Live Marketplace. Also featured is a review system by Xbox Live users to review the games these developers put online. The games are planned to go for $2.50, $5.00 or $10.00 each.
This is a great opportunity for game developers to show their stuff and make a name for themselves.
