Zune phone rumors will remain rumors
The Zune Phone rumors just keep on coming. But this time, the rumors may have been squashed. First they squashed the Obama/Zune rumors. Now this. The Group Manager of Zune, Brian Seitz, has announced that “No Zune phone at CES.” In the past few days, there were many analysts who believed that Microsoft would be introducing a Zune phone at the Consumer Electronics Show 2009. Some analysts believed that the Pink Project was the same as the Zune phone. But now other analysts believe that the two projects were different with the Pink Project most likely making its debut at CES 2009. Analysts believe the Pink Project is not a hardware project, but more of a platform of services in which Zune-like services would run on any Windows Mobile Phone. So the most important thing to take from this is that there will be no Zune phone, as of yet. At least this is what they are telling us. Who knows? Maybe Microsoft wants to blind-side the market with their Zune phone. We can only wait and ponder.
