Juxtapoz Issue #92 and The Lost Ones Comic from Zune Arts

Yesterday when I picked up the mail, I received an a large magazine sized envelope addressed to me. Upon opening it, I found that it was my September issue of Juxtapoz Art & Culture Magazine. Paired with it was a full sized print of “The Lost Ones” comic, which I had previously seen on Zune Arts. This was my first time getting supplemental material with my subscription, so it came as a welcome surprise.

The Lost Ones is a series written by Steve Niles and illustrated by artists Dr. Revolt, Morning Breath, Kime Buzzelli, and Gary Panter which I believe was sponsored and now advertisted by Microsoft as a part of their Zune Arts program. The comic itself follows four friends whom travel throughout different worlds via space-time altering wormhole creating machines. The comic is done in several styles, from contemporary, to 60’s era styling, to hand illustrations, to hardlines and solid colors. Each artist illustrated a specific section from the five part story arc. In the end, it comes out to be a refreshingly short, yet interesting comic.
