Microsoft has a lot cooking right now, they’re finishing up their new Windows 7 OS as well as Office 2010. But what else does Microsoft have in the works? Well they have their new Zune HD media player on the way that will compete head on with the Apple iPod Touch. Well the name of one of their new patents could be a hint, dubbed “ONEAPP,” it shows that Microsoft could be making their very own App Store. This is all rumors for now, but the app filing does say it is for media players so it sure does look promising. If they are thinking of making their own App Store then they have a lot of catching up to do with Apple. About the Zune “app”:

“Computer software for allowing mobile device users to send messages, make payments and access and play music, games and videos on mobile devices; computer software platforms for developing mobile applications; computer software, namely, software development tools for the creation of mobile applications; computer software for runing retail store site for purchase and download of mobile applications over wireless networks.”
