Smart Shuffling for the Zune

The new feature for the Zune, Smart Shuffle, was debuted at Microsoft’s Techfest. The Smart Shuffle system used tags and meta data to determine tempo and music genre to help create playlist for the Zune.

Because people carry so many songs on their music players, and with the millions of songs available with a Zune pass, the system will recommend new songs based on previous songs played by the user. The system will also automatically determine which songs and song types the user likes and will determine which to play next.
