How do I get Windows Media Center to find and play the mp4 videos I got off Itunes or the Zune store?

I’m new to Vista and Media Center. I cant seem to get the program to locate the mp4 videos in my Zune library. Ive added that folder to be watched, but they dont appear in the WMC interface.

You need to install the codec.

Klite offers most common used codecs in one pack:

You can also use VLC Player :

as a test try right clicking the mp4 file and choose to play with windows media center
if it plays it it should be able to find it
if it doesn’t play it you may need a codec pack
    cccp works well with windows

If your mp4 videos from iTunes were purchased from the iTunes Movie Store you can only play them in iTunes.

Incidently why have you got a Zune AND iTunes? Why didn’t you just get the iPod as it does actually work with iTunes. Microsoft is about to kill the Zune do to it loosing too much money.

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of zune converter suite give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product. You can search which one you like best. Here is the link:

You probably can’t without a hack or stripping the DRM.
